We finished a rewarding trip with two of
our clients.
A total of nine days with langkawi too. Two and the halfdays
was spent on travel.
Hence a total of five and half days of bird photo graphy
as clients were photo birders. We found 11 species of kingfishers
and managed to photo 10 species.
5 species of Hornbills got photos of all.
3 Species of Owls got photos of two. Sulawesi Scoops Owl
and Sulawesi Ochre-bellied Boobook good shots.
Raquet-tails with a very electrical call, Purple-winged Roller,
Sulawesi Triller, Brown Cuckoo Dove, Ashy Woodpecker,
Sulawesi Pygmy Woodpecker, lovely Ornate Parkeet
and both endemic Hanging parrots, Black-Naped Fruit dove,
White-Brested Imperial Pigeon, Silver-tipped Pied Iimperial pigeon.
We were lucky to see 50 Knobbed Hornbills fly over our head.
The list of endemics was endless the wheather was good
and very easy birding.
We enjoyed the trip with spectacular views of volcanos
and eastern tarsiers and crested macaque.
Langkawi was easy birding as it was at our backyard.
Brown Wing kingfisher and all three resident Hornbills.
Our next Oversea trip will be Victoria Australia.
